The Grand Commission, sponsored by GMP Capital Inc., is an innovative twist on the classic gala merging interactive corporate and philanthropic giving with a black tie affair.

GMP, a leading Canadian investment dealer, is breaking ground for this inaugural event by being the first company to commit to donate the day’s trade commissions to help combat sex trafficking.

Top business and philanthropic leaders will also come together to support substantive, long-term solutions to a critical local and national problem.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to Covenant House Toronto and its five-year, comprehensive, $10-million anti-sex trafficking campaign, “Just Like a Girl You Know.”

The Grand Commission promises high returns to support real solutions in our city. The event costs will be underwritten by corporate sponsorship to ensure that maximum proceeds can go right to the bottom line.

The evening’s elegant gala, The Grand Ball, at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto, will be the scene of a celebration of generosity and compassion.

The night will include a cocktail reception, dinner and special live entertainment. For those with an appetite for “risk” and good competitive fun, an exclusive poker game will be held after dinner.
